Gold fish to put with which other fishes?

    I hav one tetra and two mollies...I am planning to buy two goldfish as they liv in pair..
    I wud lik to know whether the two goldfish wud liv peacefully with small fishes in my aquarium ?

    But yes, they'll get along fine together.

    Again, this forum doesn't discuss freshwater, but goldfish are coldwater, whereas the others are tropical, so no they won't.

    Depending on the type of goldfish, they do fine on the lower end of the tropical temperature scale. Keep your tank between 73-75 degrees with hardy fish and you can keep them together with no problems.

    Mollies are brackish water fish and thay have been succesfully acclimated to marine tanks!

    With the amount of ammonia that goldfish give off it is not recommended that they be placed in a tank with tropical fish, plus as it was said Mollies are tropical the need a heater goldfish are coldwarter and do not need a heater....

    so all though they would get along they could not be housed together with out issue

    I have seen goldfish put into marine tanks as feeder fish and they can survive for couple hours in the salt water.

    My lionfish would eat goldfish at times. He loved them.
