Good News for those without Skimmers

The odyssea ps160 skimmer is available for around 45 bucks and despite the brand and price it has received praise from several including the "coveted" approval from those at reefcentral. Several people apparently bought them in an apparent joke and were then surprised by the performance. This is the newer model they are offering.

Those who have longed for a skimmer but havnt wanted to shell out the triple digit price now have a cost effective method until they later see fit to upgrade. I have ordered one along with a reef octopus (separate tanks) and will update with my own personal experience.

Good to know....rated for 160g I see. I think more companies will make comparable skimmers for less money over time.

To add on the D&D Typhoon was another skimmer for under 100 bucks that did extremely well in the test with multiple people. The skimmer can be found for around 70 to 90 dollars and skims extremely well from the review at RC.
