green alge on glass

Sure you are probably all sick of this question, not hair alge but the green w/ a little red mixed in that ya gotta clean off befor your friends come over. I don't want a million turbo snails in hopes they keep it clean. Is it caused from phosphats? Nitrates? It's only on the glass, do I need to build the alge scrubber thingie in the sump? 125 DT, 75 sump/fuge.

Most of us get a little algae like that growing on the glass, so every day or every other we just scrape the glass off.

Unless you are have other algae problems in your tank i wouldnt worry about the causes of them.

An algae scrubber will definitely help, but you'll still have to scrape the glass once a week or so. After I installed my scrubber, I went from having to clean it every day to just under once a week.

once a week is better then once a day, plus like building chit, think I'll give it a try, ty
