green brittle star MIA

I haven't seen my green brittle star for over a week. He was a good size too. Should I find his remains and remove from tank or not worry about it?

Would his dying in the tank have caused a little more algae? I have noticed a little more than usual on rock and sand which surprises me cuz I just added 25 cerith snails, 25 astrea snails and 15 nassarius snails about 3.5 weeks ago. Should I have any concerns?

i dont think you word see any ill effect to the tank.i would not worry about it at all.

Try looking around the tank after the lights have been off for while.Brittle stars are for the most part nocturnal.So use a small flashlight with either a red bulb or red lense and chech back in the rocks.More often than not,you'll find them chillin out back there out of sight.

My phosphate reading is 0.03.

If it did die, it would have been taken care of by the cleaning crew within a couple hours. That's their job.
