Green Fuzzy Mushroms--Are They Sick?

I have 2 of these green mushrooms in my tank. They are about 1" diameter. Normally, they just hang out. Today, both of them turned outside in and all I can see is an outer, purple, fleshy color.

They are just below the button polyp in the pic. They are to the left of the stripped mushrooms, right next to the yellow polyps.

Are they in trouble? I was feeding (powerheads off) and a piece of combo food or mysis shrimp may have fallen onto one of them, but I can't be sure.

Will a mushroom like this actually suck in on itself, like a button polyp, if food lands on top of it? I thought they were filter feeders.

Mushrooms are filter feeders, but I have seen mine catch food too. They will close up like that when they do. Keep an eye on them, they should return back to normal within a day or two.

Could something be picking at them or irritating them?

They are open again. Musta been having a snack.

I just went on a water testing rampage. Everything checks out.
