Green hair covering Chaeto

I got a bunch of green hair algae attaching itself and growing like crazy to my Chaeto.. I run a 6500k light opposite to my tank lights every day.. No phosphates come up on my tests or anything and I don't have any No3 problems.. Is it okay that my Chaeto is being covered up like this?

you do not have enough flow. On my BC29 I had over 300gph flowing through the cheato and I occasionally got some cyano in it. But with strong flow and plenty of light the cheato should out compete the green hair algae. I saw amazing growth with a halagen or xenon puck light a few inches over my cheato.

Follow the entire filtration system stage by stage to see if any thing is restricting flow. Also looks for detritus traps.

I have 400 gph going through the chaeto right now with plenty of light covering it.. I'll throw a picture up when I get back in town.
