Green Striped mushroom colour question

Some days mine are VERY green, others a brownish red with a hint of green. Are they mad or unhappy when they aren't green? I've had them for a while and they seem to be healty other than there aren't more of them!

I've noticed the same coloration thing with mine. I bought a frag plug with one on it, now there is 4 of them, so I guess the reddish brown look can't be that bad of a sign.
