Reefing newb
Hey, My name is Jonathan. I am an American living in Western Australia, and recently went into salt water aqauria. I have had several fresh water, both cold and tropical, and got a small, about 45 litre, salt water rig with two clown fish, and a couple of coral. It is quite enjoyable.

Here are a few close up shots of the Marine Aquarium...

Yes....the Ningaloo Reef starts about 1200 km north of Perth. It is 260 km long, and, although I have never snorkeled it, my wife's uncle tells me that it is a mere 100 metre swim from shore, unlike the great barrier reef which is a half day's boat ride from shore. By all accounts, even though it is the little sister of the great barrier reef, like many younger sisters in the human world, it is much more beautiful than its older sibling. It is famous for its Whale Sharks and Rays. You can swim with whale sharks and hitch rides with them and stuff, although one guide who took my sister-in-law and her husband told them how one day one of his tourists hitched a ride on a Tiger Shark, with no ill effects.
