Hanna Electronic Test Kits

Hi,

Has anyone on here used the Hanna Electronic test kits? Are they any good or are the good old visual ones more reliable? I see they do one for Phosphates, Nitrite, Calcium and Magnesium but i dont see any for Nitrates.

I don't have any experience with them myself but others around here have recommended them. I found them cheaper on Testequipmentdepot.com then they are on Amazon.

Alkalinity is the most common along with their phosphate ones. After that you'll get varied opinions. I hear the calcium one is ok but no one raves about it. I do really like that you don't have to worry about identifying colors with them.

I use the Alk checker religiously. I also have the Phosphate checker, and the Calcium checker. The Calcium checker, is accurate, but a pain in the ass to use. The other 2 are simple as pie to use, and as quick or quicker than any other test.

Thanks for the replies. I might try the Alkalinity one, I always find doing that test a pain.
