Anyone here that's good with wood have any (relatively simple) plans to build a bed frame and headboard for a king sized bed? Weird question, but the BF is handy and thought it would be a fun project for us to build it ourselves instead of spending tons of $$$$ on one at the furniture store.

Some plans can be pretty complex, requiring alot of different tools. Exactly what kind of design are you looking for?

The new boyfriend is already moving in? What happened to the drip acclimation process?

Ummm I don't have a lot of tools. So something simple? Like, using 2 x 4s or 4 x 4s or something? Dunno. That's why I asked you guys!

Alto, he has already been floated in the bag for several months and drip acclimated to the proper pH and temperature. He's good to go. :)

It's not just acclimation that matters Biff. What if he gets sick? Do you have a quarantine room ready in case that happens? Some humans are more hardy than others...better to be on the safe side.

Biff I seached using DIY bed frame and brought up a ton of free plans ranging from wood to pipe and cheap to high brow stuff. Wouldnt be hard to design though. Did you think about a second hand or thrift shop, salvation army, St. Vincents or an AmVets store. Prolly grab one for a hundred bucks and you'd have that much into building one. It would prolly be prettier too.

Actually, Ryan is right about the Salvation Army. you can find some really decent bed frames there at almost no cost. Who cares if the frame is not new...as long as you have your big soft & cozy mattress and you can cuddle with Christian after his quarantine is over...you will like your bed.

Even if its beat up a little stripping and refinishing or just a coat of paint and its like new. I got a queen sized brass bed frame at the army for 75 bucks when I got out of the army and got my first place still use it 5 years later.

Cool, we have a "Habistore" here in town, it's a Habitat for Humanity store that sells furniture for cheap. I'll have to check it out. Repainting is a good idea.
