Just thought i would hop in and say hi I'm new ti salt water and am in the process of building my reef tank it been up for about 4 months and i have a couple of of things growing on live rock on the darker underside mostly.
Lots of little purple ones and one bigger brownish one ill try to upload some pics they are kinda puffy unless you disturb them at which point they shrink or shrivel up anybody have any idia what they are and should i worry

Those look like different zoanthid polyps. Possibly sponges, it's hard to tell with some of them. Great hitch hikers!

A cool trick is taking a magnifying glass and using it in conjunction with your camera. It could get you a much nicer picture.
