Hello everyone, I have been keeping freshwater fish for 3 years now and I am wanting to start a saltwater tank of 75 gallon's or larger. I was wondering if someone could give me a list of what I will need to do this. I am wanting to keep coral's and fish in my tank. I have no clue as to where to start so any information would be appriciated. I am also curious to know if it would be better to just buy a set-up off of craigslist that is already established and if so how would I transport it without destroying the established bacteria? Thank you everyone for any advice or answer's you may have.

Hello and Welcome!

Personally, i would just buy used equipment off of cragslist because then you can make your tank how you want it and you have less of chance of inheriting someone elses issues with the tank, but there are some good deals on already set up tanks out there.

Here are some good articles that should answer a lot of your questions

Also, saltwater is very different from fresh. The rules and equipment are totally different!
