Hello! Just started a saltwater tank.

Hello everyone, I started a saltwater aquarium yesterday, it's a hobby I have been interested in starting since I was a child but my dad always assured me freshwater tanks were the way to go.

I do have a few questions already, the water is crystal clear however it looks as if some salt residue is on the inside of the tank. How should I go about cleaning it? Can I use a squeegee? Anyway, I am looking forward on making some new friends and knowledge in this new hobby.

What your probably seeing is dust from the sand.Just use your hand and wipe it off.Or if you have one,a magfloat will take care of it.

Welcome to the site, everyone here has got your back. Let us know how we can help you out. If it is hard residue it may just be dried salt, if it is feathery it is probably sand residue. If it is hard residue you can use a scraper or a mag float. If it is feathery just stick your hand in and wipe. Hope this helps, good luck!
