I know I would need an overflow box.
Right now I run two canister filters and I have a basket hung on the back inside my tank with macroalgae in it, for copepods and nitrate and phosphate control, which is doing fantastic thus far.
The more I look into a sump the more it just seems like a big canister without being contained and noisier. I have limited space under the stand, so 20g is about all the tank that will fit under there with my ATO system.
The overflow box will run me around $90.00, then I have to buy the 20g tank, a pump and hoses. Is it worth it? or Do I keep my setup as is? My tank has been established for 6 years.
Every where I look folks keep insisting a sump is better, so I was considering it.
