Help Setting Up a New Aquarium (Lights/Skimmer/Etc.)

They are easy to hook up under your sink. In fact easier to hook up than try to explain. Most people are scared but really it's easy.

I would also stay away from the tap water. If the nitrates are 10 out of the tap, you will never be able to get them below that. You because the nitrates are high, it will cause tons of algea to grow and you will just be frustrated. Not to mention all the other chemicals and stuff that would be in it that you dont test for.

I have a 30 gallon tank and I am buying my RO from the LFS at 50 cents a gallon. It is cheaper at the grocery store but I trust the LFS that they change the RO membrane more frequently than the grocery store does. Also gets me in there once a week to see what is new:mrgreen: I just dont have the room to hook up an RO unit in my condo. Even though they dont take up much room at all. There is just not much cabinet space here and they are just jammed full of stuff.
