Help V2 Protein Skimmer 600

Bit error today, noticed the skimmer had 2 pipes coming out of it which I just assumed was air pipes, they started springing water to the extent that I can see it downstairs as we as on the wall in my room.

Any idea what these pipes are really for? (see picture two thin pipes).


I have tied them over the tank for the time being.
