Reefing newb
me and my brother in law have a tank together its the 55 . i usually feed the tank ,but i was gone so he did . he left the extra food in the tank and in one side there was a ball of white stringy looking gel spanning between two pieces of LR . is this a bad thiing ? is there something i need to do? or will it just go away on its own. thanks

also there hasnt been a amonia spike or anything. oh and i dont know if this matters but i have a aiptasia problem. i ordered a file fish for that.

Maybe it was just a spaghetti worm or something on the left over food I wouldnt worry about it you should have snails and crabs to clean it up.

Have you done any research on your file fish? Not all will fit in your tank, some are not reef safe and a few are not suitable for our tanks.

There are much better ways to deal with aiptasia
