Reefing newb
I have some pictures of my new to me fuge. I know it looks used but will cleanup just fine and most importantly it was CHEAP . I need some help with the plumbing and setup. Im not sure how it was setup before so I was hoping you guy's could help me figure it out. I will need a pump and was hoping for some recomendations. I also have a eshopp 1200 overflow that is new to go along with it. It has 2 outlets. I want to set this up soon so all help is appreciated. Thanks in advance

Forgot to mention that in the side where the 2 inlets are on the top the inside baffel has a slot 3/4 of the way down that opens to the middle area

Looks kind of tricky. It looks like you have two return lines, and a hole drilled for another bulkhead. (Perhaps another feed from a reactor, or closed loop?). There's no room for a submersible pump in there, so you'll have to use an external pump and find a way to run all the lines, or block a couple of them.

Thanks. I think im going to block 2 lines and just have the one line. Do you have to have mud on the bottom or can you just use sand?

I hear no sand is best, and that if you want to use sand you'll want at least 4 inches. Anything less is supposedly worthless and just a waste trap.
