Hi..just setup my first marine tank two days ago. Just noticed a small animal.it looks like a star fish but it has 6 tiny legs are these ok to leave in the tank.ive also seen a slug like thing in the tank.is there supposed to be a film on top of the water as not sure if ive got my skimmer set up right. Thanks in advance for any help

First off, welcome to living reefs.
You need more flow or turn the power heads towards the surface. What do you have for power heads and what size tank?
Astrenia starfish can have six legs(safe) slug thing sounds like a nudibranch (could be not reef safe), pictures will help.
As far as protein skimmer, need more info.
