    Hey guys,

today I did a water test and these are the figures I got

    pH – 8.2
    NO2 - 0
    NO3 - 0
    Ammonia - 0
    Phosphates - 0
    DkH - 7
    Salinity - 1.026
    Mg - 1320

I am wondering how come since all my other numbers are good, that my alkalinity is just a tad low? Is there any other parameters I should be testing for to see how it can be effected?

If you have stony corals, then that would be the reason why it's lower...but it's probably just the brand of sale sometimes too. If you don't have any corals, don't worry about the alk, especially at 7dkh, that's not really bad to me.
