How to add live sand....

to a 55gal that is already full of water. No fish/corals as of now, just live sand & live rock. But I need more sand. Can I add a bag of CaribSea Live Aragonite Sand? If so, do I just unplug my powerhead & skimmer and pour it on in?

Trying to think of the best way to do it.

easiest way to is scoop it up in a cup and lower it down, or pour it down a PVC pipe. Just go slow and it will be cloudy for a few days.
