how to feed

    how do you guys feed your pipefish.i have had mine for about 6 months and i dont feed him.i feed the whole tank brine.but i dont know if he eats it.

    some people have pipefish that are trained to eat frozen, much like seahorses. Other are eating the live food in your tank, which might be what your is doing.

    Also, you shouldnt feed brine. Unless it is live and enriched within a few hours of feeding, it has no nutritional value.

    I agree with little_fish.. had a pipefish for 3 yrs before I broke down the tank and never once did I actually see him eat...

    i dont know if they'll eat pods but i have a lot of them.they are all over my glass.a mandrain would be in heaven.

    Take a break from the brine and get some hikari Mysis, he'll eat those like nothing..

    What kind of pipefish. That makes all the difference. I agree about hikari mysis, many pipefish eat it with great relish. However, dragonface don't often because of their small mouth. They may need cyclopeeze (if you can get them to eat it) or newly hatched brine shrimp.
