Jun 26, 2010 #1 H harryclean Reefing newb In fish tanks maintained in homes i saw some ash like material deposited in the glass wall of the tanks i tried to remove it with toilet cleaner but in vain. Please suggest me the correct way to clean.

Jun 26, 2010 #3 bjohanson1234 ......... Also, wash out the tanks really good since you used toilet bowl cleaner in them. Who knows what kind of chemicals are int them:shock: The line is pretty much a calcium deposit. Any mild acid like vinegar should remove it. As biff said

Jun 26, 2010 #4 dcantucson Reef pro You could also try some Lime Away or CLR (Calcium & Lime Remover) but like BJ said RINSE the tank extremely well!
