hydroid jellyfish

i just bought some live rock and right after i finished putting it in i noticed these little white specks. after a little reserch i found out they are called hydroid jellyfish. anyone have any info on these little buggers. is it something i should worry about. im still cycling my tank and have no fish to eat them.

From my understanding is the free living hydroids will eventually die and not pose a problem.

thats what i was hoping for. i took a 45 min. ride to salty critter for the first time and got some rock. didnt want to have a bad experiance since i heard nothing but good things about them.

Some type of copepod most likely.Good microalgae eaters and detrivores.Nice food for many fish also.

they do seem to be disapearing by the day. but that could be because i cant see them on the glass. i dont have any fish yet either due to the fact that im still cycling my tank. one more i hope.

There not disappearing,they will eventually find a safe haven in the holes of rocks and the sand.Its common to see a population bloom at the on start.
