My LFS has these in their frag tanks so you can really see the speicmens they are awesome.
I dont imagine a plastic cup is just as well by any means. These things magnify and are very clear they are really neat.

That's not a top down viewer (I guess it could be used for one though). I think it's cool that it has an algae magnet on it too.

OOOOH I guess I didnt look at it good I see now it stick on the side of the glass that is neat I wonder if a camera could take super close ups through it?

I wondered that too. The magnification increases as you move away, but what does it look like with the camera lens pressed against it. Is it 2x, 3x or more. Would like to see it close up first! That being said, cool idea!
