    Yes you may be right, looks like it. Is this normal for them to just appear on live rock. We certainly didn't put it there. ? lol
    I am assuming that no special care is needed, since it has just appeared and grown all by itself, so it must be pretty happy then ?
    Any ideas of the other picture, this has also just appeared out of nowhere ?

    2nd picture I would think is some kind of encrusting monti with the ridge on the lower right. I am unsure.

    +1 to what Mario said. Back in the 80s we'd get Montastria popping up on fresh live rock out of Florida.

    Nice live rock! where did you get?last pic a little fuzzy but I think I see defined polyp calices might be a porites sp.

    I am in Australia, i got the rock at a local LFS. No idea where it came from originally. sorry.
