can anyone help me identify this coral and any information on fragging it.

It's a goniopora, or flower pot coral. To frag it, you will need to cut the skeleton base of it, trying to minimize damage to the polyps as much as possible. Using a Dremel may be your best bet. After you frag it, I'd dip the pieces in a coral dip to try and prevent infection.
