Invasion of the Colonial Hydroids

I've read a ton of threads on killing them and everyone seems to think there is no easy way to do it. Most suggest removing the rock and bleaching it.

Yesterday I took two cups of RO water and boiled it in the microwave until it bubbled. I waited for it to settle down then took it next to my tank before it cooled at all. I filled my turkey baster and put the tip right down on them and slowly over the course of several minutes blasted them with the super hot water. 24 hours they have not come back out and look dead but the others that I left alone are out.

I'll keep you all posted. (Do we need a "Pests" forum?)

I believe they will come back. I superglued a whole lot of them shut once. The were gone for a few weeks. Then the came back with a vengeance. I hope it works for you though.
