Just wanted to say hello. My name is Robert. Need advice

I had freshwater fish as a kid. I started off bad with a saltwater fish tank. Lost the first 2 batches of fish and was very expensive. I've been ok for the past several months although a clown triggerfish died for no apparent reason. He was about 5-6 inches long and almost a year old. I have a 75 gallon tank with a refugium and a UV light. Tthere is about 70 pounds of live rock and 80 pounds of substrate. I want to start doing coral but I dont know anything about starting coral. Can someone give me some advise

Hi,
What are your water perimeters?
What are you running for lighting?
What is your water flow and filter setup?
What type of corals would you like to keep?

Welcome to the forum

Hi and welcome to the site! A clown trigger fish needs a lot bigger tank than yours upwards of 200-300 gallons. It could of became cramped in your tank which could of led to stress.

Listing more information about your tank as suggested will help in giving you advice.
