I know most of you have seen cats chase a laser pointer, but has anyone tried it with their fish? My bengai cardinal goes NUTS if i shine a laser pointer on the rocks or sand... he tries to attack it/eat it.

yea,right up untill the fish hurts himself and dies and kills your water quality and crashes your tank....
not to mention that its mean... :(

yeah i try to do it away from him so he swims after it and not actually run into anything... even though as i was moving it across the sand he bolted for it and took a nice mouthfull of sand

I like to do bad things.
HAHA It is great fun....till your kid wants their pointer back and then loses it. My black clown used to go ape crap over it and chase it EVERYWHERE.

My jack russels love to chase it as well, my male jack knows what drawer we keep the lazer in and will go to that drawer and beg, you can't even say lazer with out him going crazy.

I play with the red laser pointer all the time. Damsels will go insane after them. Just be sure your fish doesn't jump right of the tank, its happened!
