Late night bugs

Checking my tank out with a flashlight tonight I saw two weird bugs on one of the rocks. I'd say they were about 1cm long, and were not worms. Below is a video I was able to take, but the picture isn't great and is really quick.

There are some crazy geniuses on this site, so if you can identify this from my awful description and poor video....that would be awesome. If not, do you have any suggestion for a mass resource of pictures that I could page through to find what I saw?

Hmm...no idea why it defaulted to that....should be fixed now.

arthropods very good! these guys are part of your janitorial crew. they will clean up all the uneaten food and detrieus debris in your tank. no harm to anything .

Those are pods. They are good guys. They are fish and coral food.

Awesome, I didn't realize the pods could get so big. I've seen copepods on the glass as well.

That looked like an amphipods. I see exactly the same bugs in my tank all the time. They make good fish food.

there are two types of pods - amphipods and copepods, those are amphipods, the ones you see crawling on the glass are probably copepods.

I asked the same thing first time I saw one in my tank. :mrgreen: They remind me of Plankton from Spongebob.
