Lighting costs

Anyone know how much they spend on electricity each month, keeping you lights running. I want to upgrade to MH or T5 but worried about elec. cost.

Apprx. 80 to 90 dollars a month for everything.

I would guess that the t5's would be cheiper to run versus the MH since flourecent lighting is more efficient. However, I am not sure since I have CF's. My total electric bill is between 30 and 40 dollars a month. Not sure how much of that is from the lighting but I think it isnt very significant.

I have T5s and they didn't change my electric bill significantly. But then again I live in the desert and my electric bill in the summer is like $150 a month, so yeah, the T5s probably wouldn't have much of an effect compared to the AC running when it's 120 degrees out!

It wouldnt be devistating of course if you had your setup near natural light then that would help I have cut back on my lighting due to my tank being near a window it gets natural light and saves money.
