Lighting Ideas

I thought I had picked out a light for my new tank, but then the seller said he didn't think it would fit. Could I get some ideas for my tank?
FYI...I was looking at a 24" with 1-150w MH, 2-65w T5 Actinic, and lunar leds

What about a couple of PAR38 bulbs that you could hang above the tank?

With a corner tank like that, your best bet is to buy a hanging pendant. You will have a very hard time finding something that will rest on the tank with legs.

I agree. Two PAR 38 bulbs would do nicely.
If you want to go the MH route, a hanging pendant would work well also.

Do they make a pendant that I don't have to drill anything into the ceiling?
I was really wanting something that I could simulate sunrise\sunset.

Well, you could go all out and get an Ecotech Radion or AI Sol. Your best bet is probably something hanging from the ceiling.

I think for some of them you can get a thing that clamps on the back of the tank and suspends the lights that way.

Someone here set up a really cool way to hang their AI Sol Nano fixture via painted black PVC attached to the back of their stand and suspended over their tank. I tried to find the thread to the person's tank but can't remember whose tank it was.... does anyone else remember whose set up this was?

Par38 bulbs screw into and standard light socket, so your mounting options are really only limited by your imagination
