Lighting on the new tank

my new set up is a 45 gallon tank 36x18x16 i have one 250 watt metal halide and a 65 watt actinic power compact above the tank. is this enough light for the tank?

idk if urs is too much but to give u an idea i have a 250 watt halide over my 54 corner and all the corals love it, only issue was alittle heating but i jsut raised my light. good luck!

also if you are not able to raise your light for some reason and you can not afford to get a chiller, you can just float a frozen water bottle. works very well. i have actually seen this done at my LFS

You can just clip on a small desk fan, it works much better than either a chiller or floating ice
