That doesn't look like a daisy polyp. That looks like a plastic toy that one of your kids accidentally dropped into the tank :D

It is some sort of algae. I have several of them on one of my rocks. They come and go. Dont seem to over take the tank so I just kind of let it grow.

It's acetabularia calyculus, Mermaid's Wine Glass, a macro algae.

Mine doesnt quite look like that but very similar. It might be a different morph of the same thing. who knows.
