Live Mysis Shrimp

So, I just got an order of Live Mysid Shrimp from LiveAquaria. I wanted to try it out.

That made me wonder: is there anyone out there that keeps a tank to breed these in to feed their main tank? If so... what's your setup / story?

Also: If enough of these live long enough in the tank, will there end up being a thriving population in the tank?

I plan on doing a culture for pods. Which should work for mysis as well. 5 to 10 gallon. LR rubble and some Cheato for them to breed in. Small air stone and a Heater and a small clip on light. Then for transferring them to your dt just turn the light off and use a flashlight which will bring them into the water column. Turkey baster to dt. Hope this helps.

Mysid shrimp are very hard to culture because they are cannibals and will eat the younger shrimp. So you have to keep the adults and babies separated. Brine shrimp and copepods are easier to culture, but all of them are kinda messy and require some dedication
