Live rock bubbles

I have some silver grey bubbles forming on my live rock in a couple of places. the bubbles are hard and are getting bigger is this caused by the carbon hardiness powder or calcium liquid ? I have never had this before it is not harming anything by the looks anyone else had this happen .

Hmm, The bubbles are hard? New one on me I was thinking maybe bubble algae. Can but tough but not hard.

I'd pull the rock out and scrub. Bubble algae is hard til it is ready to pop. You don't want it to pop. It could be caused by many things. Are you using tap water? What is your tank stocked with? How old are your lights? How often do you feed and what are you feeding your tank?
