Live rocks have slime coming off them

Live rock has clear diluted syrup like slime coming off it after I put it in the tank with RO water. No salt has been mixed yet. Is that normal? Previous bin in which they had being held was mixed with salt mix and an air stone could this be why?

You should have mixed salt in your RO water before you put your LR in it.
That slime is probably all the good organisms and bacteria that live in salt water dying off.
After you mix salt in there, I would throw another piece of live rock in to help replenish the bacteria. You will probably experience a longer than usual cycle because of all the die off.

+1...should have filled it with premixed water before adding the LR

+2 Bj... you've pretty much killed the live bacteria by placing the rocks in plain water.
