Live sand and aragonite

While I was searching for all of my saltwater stuff I came across a brand new bag of aragonite. Can I use this on top of my live sand or no? Please let me know if I can as I don't want to waste it. It is a 15lb bag. Thanks.

Yes you can. It might cause the tank to get cloudy. Rinse it before you put it in the tank and it will cut down on the cloudyness.

Should I place the sand in first or the aragonite first or does it matter?

Doesnt really matter. Since the dry sand will become live sand over a short period of time.

+1 but i would place the new sand above the old sand so you dont have to stir up the old stuff.
