Hey everybody,

I was thinking about getting a blue spiny lobster and was wondering whether or not it would get along with a coral banded shrimp. The shrimp is about 2-3 inches and the lobster would be about 1-1/2.

Thanks guys

Never had a lobster ,but had a CBS and it was an SOB...always pinching my fish and ripping its fins:grumble:,so i put triggers in the tank...bye,bye shrimpy

I have heard the blue spiny lobster is an extremely fast grower and they are called sliper. They get kind of ugly when they get big IMO, I have seen they at the LFS. I have also heard of people adding them and never seeing them again til they get big.
Not shying you away from it, just adding my opinion. good luck :)

Why spend hard earned cash on something that you'll see maybe once a year?Lobsters tend to hide back in the rocks and hardly ever come out.
The coral banded shrimp will be a complete ass. They'll go after your fish, eat corals and kill other shrimp.

You can get a madagascar coral banded shrimp, I think thats what he's called, much less of a @^%$(, JMO.
