I would remove the bio wheel. The wheel will cause alot of nitrates if not cleaned weekly or more, and could still cause them even if cleaned alot. I wouldn't want to chance all the nitrates exspecialy in a tank that small.

As I said before, I think you would have too high of a bioload for a 10 gallon, so I'm not going to vote on this one :).
