Making the switch to bigger tank

I just ordered some new lights today for a new tank I would like to set up. I currently have had a 20 gallon long for 4 months now. I got a free 30 gallon from work and would like to set that up as my main display and turn the 20 gallon into a refugium. I have never had a refugium and only run a filter for the 20 gallon. I have been reading all the benifits of having a fuge in your system and couldnt pass on the free tank. Is it smart to move all of the live rock over to the bigger tank? Will this tank have to cycle again?

Maybe if you stir the sand up you'll get a mini cycle maybe. Just moves the rock and water together into the new tank to avoid die off and to have a stable environment. Should help a lot.

It's not likely that you will see a new cycle. The rock will only be exposed to air for a few seconds, probably. There is a slim chance, so have water for a water change ready to go.
