I'd like to make a mash of clams, oysters, scallops, and mussels to spread and freeze in a a shell to try to get my CBB to start eating (came from DD and was eating before it shipped but hasn't eaten when I've fed the tank yet (it is picking off of rocks)). I went to the store but all of the fresh shellfish are cold water species. For those who have made their own foods before, is it okay to use cold water shellfish? Or are there specific species of shellfish I should use/avoi? Thanks!

I don't think it matters about the shellfish species. When we made fish food in my local reef club, we also added some spirulina, garlic and vitamins.
