I am not gonna lie, I kinda miss Fatman's rants. A lot of the time I wouldn't even read his whole posts, but I have to admit that a lot of the time his pessimistic views on many things about this hobby were quite intriguing and often made me want to research more on a certain topic than I would have done before. I know he was crazy, I know he was rude, I know he would never admit to being wrong, but I still miss him on the boards and his funny icon. :bounce:

P.S.- I never found out why he got banned, could someone PM me if they don't want to disclose it in this thread.

If you miss him, you must not have been one of the people on the receiving end of his abusive, insulting and offensive PMs filled with name-calling and personal attacks.

Thanks for the info. He definitely spoke his mind, but I think was genuinely trying to help most times. He just felt he was right .... like most of us do at times.

If there ever was a saying that fit Fatman,it was ''you couldn't teach an old dog new tricks''.Yes,he was abrasive but I still consider him an intelligent man.

It wasn't just me. He sent those types of PMs to at least half a dozen people. Half a dozen people that formally complained to mods, who knows how many just ignored him and didn't bother reporting him. I was not even the person that banned him. He managed to offend someone else with banning capabilities enough for that person to pull the trigger.

or just use a site like tor (which i run 24/7) which is constantly changing your IP address and im pretty sure his banning was just the account not an IP banning

I wouldn't mind him back on the forum. I didn't receive anything but help from him. I just think he is very set in his ways. I understand he was abrasive to some. I'm not one to hold onto things. Too much else to worry about in life.
