man oh man - clownfish

So I'm thinking my two clown fish killed my new black and white clownfish. Is there a certain way to buy clown fish with the tank already inhabbited by a couple? I would really like one more.

Not really. Clownfish should be pairs or single only...

In your size system,a pair or a single speciman is really the only option.I've seen large numbers of juveniles in large systems where they can set up a pecking order but not in a small 27g. tank.

i had the same problem strangely enough i had a false clown and a true clown pair up and when i picked up an absolutely beeautiful misbar clown, the fish was hemi orange. and when i put it in my tank the true clown picked at it a bit and when i turned my back to grab the white plastic eggcrate to make a divider for it the true pinned it to the ground and pulled one of its fins off. to say the least the misbar died
