Mantis shrimp removal

I just noticed one in my tank today!!!!!
Got a new mushroom rock yesterday and he must have been in there.
I have no fish right now but will they eat mushrooms or other polyps? I am going to have to try to get him out before I add fish

He won't eat your coral. Only fish, crab, snails, shrimps....

Ok that gives me some time to plan. From what I have seen of him, he has a red head and assuming the rest of his body is also red. It is kind of creepy seeing those eyes staring at you from around a peice of rock.

yall are making me long for harra's in new orleans.. i went there 2 years ago with a band i was working for, and one of the things that i did while we were on burbon street was i went down to the steak place thats in harras, and they had some of the finest steak and LOBSTER WHIPPED MASHED POTATOES. chunks of lobster mixed in with my smashed taters. Oh how tastey that was... mmmm wish i could go there right now and just gorge myself silly on thoes taters again...

Well, when I get this thing out of my tank, I will send it to you!!!!!
I have only seen it twice in the past 4 days and tried baiting it but it hasnt taken it yet. Probably not hungry enough to venture into a plastic bottle. I think a week or two without any food will change its mind. I have been trying frozen food to get it. Should I get a cheap crab from the LFS to stick in the bottle?

I was actually gonna use fishing line but need to get some shrimp first
I think for dinner one night I'll cook some shrimp on the barbie
