So in trying to win the good fight with hair algae, I bought a jug of marine sat on your previous suggestion. Just dose according to the bottle? For how long and do you do the maintence dosing still?

Yeah,just follow the directions on the bottle.Want hurt to up the dosage by a couple of ounces though.

I was dosing about once every two months at the time I tore my 240 down. Still not a shred of algae anywhere, and I followed the directions on the bottle until it all went away.

Its basically a bacteria supplement right, similar to vodka or sugar dosing?

Good luck with the marine sat. let me know how things go. you know I can go for any ideas. so if it works out ill definitely drop the cash on it.

I started the dosing regimen last night so lets see what we end up with. I pulled a bunch of algae out the other day so pics arent going to help at the moment. Basically imagine a 180 with 235 lbs of rock that were completely covered in algae.
