Got the water and live rock. Just have to wait until it's cycled before I buy anything else.

Do you have a lot more rock in the sump? If not, I'd get some more. It's recommended to have 1-2 lbs of rock per gallon. So, in a 120, you want at least 120lbs of rock. Other then that, looks good! :)

Just added an inline gate valve to the return line after the pump. I've been having fluctuating water levels/gurgling a lot. I hope this fixes it.

How much water should I be adding to this everyday? It's not leaking anywhere but I've added about 1 1/2 gallons everyday to keep the sump at the same height? Is this normal?

Also, I have used all RO/DI water, I know as it evaporates I need to add fresh water. The RO/DI water has a SG of .024. I'm not going to add Tap water so what should I be doing?

The RODI you add back for evaporation should have a SG of 0. The salt does not evaporate with the water. You might want to check your tank's salinity levels. It is normal to be replacing that much evaporation.

Never mind about the RODI with .024 SG, I was wrong lol. I don't know why I thought that haha. Thanks again Chichimom79. I will have more updates soon as pay day is in a few days!! I plan on getting a 48" Panorama Marine LED by Ecoxotic(4 total eventually) and 1 koralia powerhead and some more live rock to put in the sump.

If you plan on doing corals (SPS especially) you're going to want like a 36x turnover rate in the tank. It's better to do 3-4 smaller ones in odd locations in the tank so there are no dead spots. :)

Just added a koralia 850 powerhead to start some water movement at the live rock and 15 more lbs of live rock, 10 of which added in the sump. Ammonia is at .25 ppm/nitrate/ite is at 0. Also ordered one 48in ecoxotic panoramo pros that will be here in a few days.

20% water change.

A - 0 N2 - 0 N3 - 10ish SG 1.024 PH - 8.1 KH - 240 GH - 180

Added 5 Nassarius, 5 Astrea, 5 Hermit, 1 Emerald crab, 2 frags of Zoas, frag of leather, 48" panorama pro ecoxotic LEDs, 5 lbs live rock.

A - 0.25ish N2 - 0 N3 - 10 SG 1.024 PH - 8.1 KH - 240 GH - 180

How do you all get the RO/DI for water changes from the LFS? (container wise?) I have 5 collapsible 5 gallon plastic containers but they are such a pain.

How do you feel about the "stick in your tank" monitors for Ammonia and PH for instant readings?

Any recommendations on what should come next?

If you mean what you should buy next, probably your own RO/DI system so you don't have to keep lugging water from the LFS, especially since you have such a large tank.

+1 on the RODI unit, that's a must with that large of tank. It'll pay for itself with all the water you will need. What kind of return pump are you using?

YUP Big tanks usually have large EVAP rate, my 125 goes thru 10 to 15 gallons every week depending on the temp and if I have the fan on or not.

+1 on the RO/DI unit.
The stick in your tank badge for Ammonia is not a bad idea. The ph one is only for freshwater I believe.

Maybe after the RO/DI unit - get an auto-topoff unit to automatically refill you tank.
