I didnt know they did this either but at night they glow! so cool. Well until they close up. Also is there a specific name for these types of Zoas?

Got a new frogspawn. Can someone check out video and tell me if its too much flow please. Also tried doing this over phone since internet is down. Not sure if link will work. It all seems to be getting pushed to one side. Oh check out my new firefish too. :-)

that looks jusp about perfect, a soft continous flow. if it doesnt open up in a few days shelter it a little and slowly move it back into the flow. tank looks great tho!

Thanks Nano :) I actually went out then came back and it looks fully opened to me now. Even my clown looks interested in it. Im kind of hoping she will host it.

Ya i dig it. :) Im not really worried about this, just mroe curious. My friends Frogspawn closes up completley at night. This is as much as mine did. I thought maybe...just maybe if there is signs of problems with them opening up all the way. There also might be an issue if they dont close up. Relieve my curiosity please. :P

Mine doesnt close up all the way at night. Looks the same as yours. If I turn the light off completely then it closes all the way.

That was my initial conclusion as well Brittany. I was just told they are supposed to close up completley. I kinda like that it doesnt then i get to see the green on it glow. I'm assuming that since i have put it in and it hasd fully opened then it likes where it is? No need to move it?

A few more additions to my tank A kenya tree and a torch coral i added yesterday. The kenya tree has opened up about 1/4 of its full size here. Just added dec.30th

Keep an eye on the kenya tree, they can spread so fast that many consider them a weed.
