Well, I finally got around to finishing my sump. Did the water test also yesterday and everything worked out great so I decided to try out the skimmer. Here's a lil video to see how it works can't wait to get it under the tank after this demo. Here's ya go.
Finish project 20g long $35, baffles $2.53, silicone $13 but bring two back so only $4.50.

Kurt I almost talked him down for the whole system for only $150. To bad you don't live down here. I bet that would be a perfect frag tank. Going up there today in a few hours to get some lights for a on going 29g tank. Shhhh it's under secret from the wife. Lol
Britt I'll switch if you want. I'll make your sump of you just install mine. Why I haven't I've got to build a frame for the stand and then do a 25g WC and cut the side of the stand and slide the new tank in its place. hopefully it'll get done this weekend. Haha

Some1 on a local forum told me to turn the bubble plate around so the holes weren't over the pump outlet so I did that yesterday before putting it in and what a huge difference that made. I couldn't see thru the cone the bubbles were so thick. But after the long long wait finally bite the bullet and cut the side of the stand to make an entrance for the 20L. I've got a couple of small things to do today like hook up the ATO, adjust the skimmer a lil more and tidy up under the stand. Here's some pics of the cut and stand. Thanks for looking videos of the skimmer will be later today when I get off of work.

Well, heres an update for ppl wondering about this skimmer. So, far ive adjusted the air value a lil bit and the return value maybe a lil less than half way. i think i'm going to turn the return a lil more and see how that does but here's an picture of what its pulling. i havent fed the tank yet so there shouldnt be much in the tank but it still is pulling some nasty stuff out. heres what ive gotten so far.

Thanks so far its skimming pretty good. Lost a couple of zoas from the WC or from algae getting on them. the fire & ice and the VDM were the two so far and the tubbs aren't looking very good. installed a ATO so no more filling the sump up everyday. just the 5g bucket for top off. and of course got some new zoas.
